Bristol City have been granted permission for a run up road to their planned new 30,000-seater stadium at Ashton Vale.
The club had originally failed with the first set of plans but after a rethink and a new hearing with North Somerset councilors, they agreed the action by agreed 10-1 votes.
Development manager Guy Price said to the Bristol Evening Post: ‘It’s absolutely fantastic news.
‘The club has worked extremely hard to achieve this and it’s another very important piece in the jigsaw.
‘There is still a lot of work to be done but it means we are on track to open the new stadium in 2012.’
