City are today working against the clock to get a couple of signings in before the 23:00 deadline.

Five players have already been welcomed to Ashton Gate during the transfer window in the shape of Richard O’Donnell, Ben Gladwin, Alex Pearce, Lee Tomlin and Scott Golbourne.

The Bristol Post is reporting that John Pemberton is looking to have two more signings pushed through, they are believed to be a midfield player and the other for a striker that knows how to put the ball away, the latter would have to be a loan signing.

It seems that attempts to sign Matt Smith or Tom Bradshaw have now be shelved, Fulham are not willing to let Smith go at the moment and its the same story coming out of Walsall regarding Bradshaw.

Colchester United midfielder Alex Gilbey also looks to be staying with the U’s, although it is rumoured that City may make another improved offer at a later date.
