City winger Ivan Sproule admits his future lies away from Ashton Gate, after joining Yeovil Town on a month’s loan on Monday.

The 29-year-old has struggled to make an impact this season, making only three appearances to date.

And the Northern Irish wide-man, who joined from Hibernian for £500,000 in the summer of 2007, wants his future sorted one way or the other.

Sproule told bcfc.co.uk: “I want to get my match sharpness [at Yeovil] and hopefully my career can get sorted out, if it is not in January then in the summer.

“I do not think my future is going to be at Bristol City by the summer, but I have had a fantastic time at Bristol City.

“They are a fantastic club with fantastic supporters but everything has to come to an end and it looks like my career there is coming to an end.

“I am still a signed player there and if called upon I would give 100 per cent for them again but at the minute I have to concentrate on playing for Yeovil.”

Sproule is out of contract in June and boss Keith Millen is rumoured to have an unnamed Championship buyer lined up to take him in January.
