Bristol City captain Cole Skuse, striker Sam Baldock and defender Louis Carey are all set to sit out the home game with Barnsley this weekend.

The trio all missed the games against Cardiff City and Crystal Palace which were both lost, dumping the Robins to the bottom of the table.

Skuse did look like he would manage to get back into action but a setback in training has put an end to his hopes of a return on Saturday.

Baldock is still suffering from a calf problem while Carey has an injured knee, but there may be better news for defender Brendan Maloney, he had to be taken off against Palace with a hamstring problem, but chances are that he will be fit enough for the visit of the Tykes.

There are high hopes of the side picking up something from Saturday’s game as manager Sean O’Driscoll has got the side playing well on home soil since his arrival and the Robins are still to lose since he took over.
