Bird flies the nest

David Partridge, City’s £150,000 summer signing from Motherwell is leaving the club after barely a handful of appearances. David has suffered a series of injuries which hampered his progress at Ashton Gate and, having regained fitness, finds himself behind Matt Heywood, Louis Carey and the newly signed ‘Margot’ Fonteyne in the pecking order.
Clearly reserve team football will not do anything to bolster Partridge’s Welsh international prospects and so he has departed on loan to Milton Keynes Dons until the end of the season, when the deal may be made permanent.
A clause in the loan agreement will prevent the big defender playing against City when the teams meet later in the season.
