Bristol City boss Lee Johnson’s happy with his attacking options at Ashton Gate but the arrival of a further forward hasn’t been ruled out.

It’s been claimed, via ‘sources close to the club’, by HITC Sport interest has been shown Isaac Vassell.

Vassell, who scored 14 goals for Luton last season having arrived from non-league side Truro last summer, isn’t a player the League Two side want to lose so have turned down an approach from Bristol City.

‘Luton have rejected the bid out of hand as Nathan Jones wants to keep hold of his best players as he looks to build a side capable of going one better next season and winning promotion from League Two,’ said HITC.

A free transfer arrival, signing a new contract last December, Vassell, 23, has attracted a lot of attention; apparently, from rival clubs but Bristol City are the first club to actually make a bid for the forward.

The report concluded the Robins haven’t decided if an improved bid will be made.
