A bit of a clear out has taken place at Ashton Gate today as the news breaks that Director of football Keith Burt and academy manager Paul Groves have both left the club with immediate effect.
Burt had been with the club since 2013 when he was brought in by Sean O`Driscoll as a scout and then moved on to the DoF post.
He helped Steve Cotterill get the club into the Championship, but his time looked to be up when Cotterill was sacked earlier this season.
Groves had been with the club since the summer when he was taken on as the club`s Academy coach.
There was a statement on the club`s official website that read: ‘Director of Football Keith Burt and Academy Manager Paul Groves have left the club with immediate effect.
‘Bristol City would like to place on record its thanks to Keith and Paul for their contributions to the club during their respective tenures.
‘The club will be making no further comment at this time.’
