City travel up north to take on Hull City on Saturday and although Hull have the home advantage, results are not what they were for Steve Bruce’s side earlier in the season.

At the turn of the year, Hull started on a winning run that saw them claim six wins on the bounce although two of them were in the FA Cup.

But then they lost 1-0 at Burnley and although they won their next game away at Blackburn Rovers, they have only won one of the last nine, losing three and drawing four.

But they still sit in fourth place in the league on 66 points, five behind third placed Brighton and nine behind leaders Burnley. Last time out they lost 1-0 away at second placed Middlesbrough.

As for the team for this game, Hull will be ready to welcome back midfielder Isaac Hayden, the loanee from Arsenal missed the defeat at the Riverside Stadium due to a knee injury but he has recovered.

Steve Bruce hopes to have striker Abel Hernandez back from international duty with no injuries on Friday so that he may be considered for a place.

Shaun Maloney, David Meyler and Mo Diame are all expected to be fit after returning from international matches.

Striker Nick Powell remains sidelined.

Bristol City could have central midfielder Korey Smith available again, he has been suffering with an ankle injury he picked up five weeks ago.

City also received a boost this week when Aaron Wilbraham signed a one year extension to his contract, the 36 year old has been an ever present this season and a valuable member of the team.
