Championship Managerial Casualty.

As City get set to take on sides in the Championship next season, the news of the first managerial casualty in the league was announced on Monday.

Former England manager Steve McLaren was given the boot by Derby for failing to reach the Premier League.

Derby said that the decision was taken after a review of the season, and that “the appointment of a new head coach is required to continue the club`s on-field progress.”

McLaren joined Derby in 2013 and took the club to last season’s play-off final where they lost to QPR.
