Released: –

Darren Byfield – scored important goals for City and looked sharp…. but not since January. Sorry to see you go Darren.

Enoch Showunmi – never the force in the Championship that he was in League One. Good luck Enoch.

Alex Russell – On loan at Cheltenham and doing well to help them stay up, one assumes that he will move there permanently.

Tamas Vasko – A bit of an enigma. Immense in stature and at times in performance. Totally off the pace and lost at other times. This giant Hungarian scored the vital winner at Burnley but his loan from Ujpesti comes to an end.

Martin Slocombe – a first year professional known for his pace and ability to play in any of the four positionsat the back, leaves without a single appearance for City

Retained: –

Scott Murray
– another year for the mighty Scooter. Many thought he would be on his way, a great bloke to have associated with the club.

Chris Weale and Stephen Henderson – both keepers remain as cover for the always believing Adriano Basso

Richard Keogh – many thought he had fallen out with Gary Johnson, but he remains to fight for his place having hardly featured this season.

Jordan Walker – the younster gave his all for the City Youth Team including playing on with a broken leg in the Youth Cup. Hopefully he can pick up his career, but I fear the leg break may blight a glittering prospect.

The rest of the squad is already contracted for at least another season. Chairman Steve Lansdown has reassured fans that Gary Johnson is contracted for another two years at least and Adriano Basso has also agreed a new deal.
