Bristol City’s search for a centre half goes on after the club missed out on Anthony Gerrard who has gone from Cardiff to Huddersfield Town.

The Robins tried to lure the player to Ashton Gate with a £200,000 bid, but that was rejected by the Welsh club.

Gerrard joins the Terriers after boss Simon Grayson agreed a fee believed to be £350,000 for the player’s signature on a three year contract.
