Bristol City get set to face Crystal Palace tonight at Ashton Gate and the word is that Steve Davies will be in the squad.

And with City being short on attacking options, Derek McInnes will surely give the player the nod to play at least some part in the game.

The striker completed a move from Derby on Monday, signing a three-year deal at Ashton Gate.

Last weekend, Albert Adomah was used up front to keep Jon Stead company, but Forest snatched the game 1-0 with City not finding the edge in the final third of the field.

Reserve striker Ryan Taylor is recovering from an ankle injury whilst Brett Pitman was left on the bench.

Midfielders Marvin Elliott and Paul Anderson were both used substutes at the City ground and the pair will be hoping for a start each in the Palace clash.

Veteran Jody Morris is still looking for his first appearance.

The visitors are not without their own problems for the game, they dont have the services of skipper Paddy McCarthy and midfielder Jonathan Williams.

Defender McCarthy is still suffering with a groin problem, while Williams has a calf strain.

Strikers Glenn Murray and Jermaine Easter could be added to the squad after the dramatic game with Watford at the weekend, both missed the game which Watford stole right at the death.
