There is a report in the local media today that says City are in for Sam Baldock from West Ham United after agreeing a fee.

City have supposedly put in a £1.5million bid for the striker according to the Bristol Evening Post, an offer which has been accepted by the London outfit.

The player has returned from a pre-season tour of Germany and he will be contacting Derek McInnes to hold talks with the City boss seeing Baldock as a replacement for Nicky Maynard.

Although Baldock has shown improvement since being at the Hammers and he has been amongst the goals in pre-season, its worth noting that one West Ham supporter’s blog claims the player is ‘lightweight’ and they are not too bothered about losing him.

But obviously McInnes would have done his homework on the player and you cant see him frittering his striker money away.
