Bristol City take on bottom club Portsmouth at Fratton Park this weekend and the Robins really do need to start finding some form.

There has been absolutely nothing to write home about in City`s last six away games and their safety cushion between themselves and the drop zone is a mere three points and if Doncaster win their game in hand over the Robins, then the bottom three is again our home.

Injuries have played a massive part in City`s slump and the sale of Nicky Maynard has not helped in the slightest.

A win at Portsmouth could be the boost that City need to turn their season around and with the home side being in turmoil at the moment, it might just be a good time to take advantage.

Lewin Nyatanga’s ankle may keep him out of the trip to the South Coast. The defender has missed the Robins’ last two games with the injury and is rated as doubtful again.

Midfielder Sean Davis, on loan from Bolton, is also struggling with a thigh strain.
Another loanee, Jordan Spence, has returned to training following a minor calf strain and should be available along with defenders Jamie McAllister and Louis Carey.
Marvin Elliott (Achilles), David Clarkson (ankle), Cole Skuse (broken toe) and James Wilson (ankle) are all out.
