Former Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine has failed to earn himself a deal with Championship side Bolton Wanderers after a trial with the club.
The 28 year old took up the chance to train with Dougie Freedman’s squad and play in a couple of development squad games.
There should have also been a seniors game against Udinese, bu that was cancelled and the player was told his services were not required.
But despite the disappointment, Fontaine is still seeking a club to join at Championship level.
