Bristol City striker Sam Baldock is hoping that he can reach a target of 30 goals this coming season due to the new help he has on hand.

The Robins were fighting something of a relegation battle for some of last season, but the striker still managed 26 during the campaign.

And now the likes of Aaron Wilbraham and Luke Freeman added to the squad, he hopes that more chances come his way as he looks to go goal crazy.

Speaking to the Press Association, Baldock said: ‘I think improvement has got to be the key now. ‘I scored 26 last season which I was pleased with but I thought I could have scored a lot more as well.

‘I think I’ve got to improve on that tally and hopefully I can hit the ground running.

‘The quality of the players we have bought in are a lot better than I’ve had in the last couple of years to create for me.’
