City centre-back Liam Fontaine emerged unscathed from last night’s reserve clash as he continues his come back from injury.

Fonts completed a full 90 minutes in the 2-2 draw at Reading, showing signs that he is over his ankle injury.

Speaking to bcfc.co.uk, manager Gary Johnson said: “Fonts was on the bench at Forest on Saturday so he was always likely to be okay with regards to his ankle.

“However, he needed the game time under his belt and completed 90 minutes without any issues.

“It was also good for David Clarkson and Gavin Williams to get a full game too, as they’re the ones who need to build up their match fitness and sharpness,”
Johnson added.

Clarkson scored City’s first goal before Marlon Jackson scored late on to earn the draw.
