Bristol City could be looking to put a bid in for Nottingham Forest captain Henri Lansbury according to rumours.

Even though there is going to be something like a £6 million fee for the player, HITC Sport reports that there should be no problem in that department.

City boss Lee Johnson has already said that he wants his side to finish the season strongly so that he can attract the better sort of player to Ashton Gate next season with a promise that the club will be looking to spend money on funding an assault on getting into the Premier League.

Last summer they tried to bring in new faces, but with them being fresh into the Championship, players took a lot of persuading, others could not be tempted.

But this time around City go into the season as an established Championship club and Johnson expects to get his targets

HITC Sport also revealed that Johnson’s top targets are Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford, Preston’s Josh Brownhill and Bolton duo Josh Vela and Zac Clough along with Lansbury.
