Bristol City manager Derek McInnes must surely be feeling the pressure building after this latest defeat at Ashton Gate, this time at the hands of Derby County.
City missed the chance to record a rare home win when they came up against a Derby side that were lacking confidence on the road after losing four away games on the bounce.
But Derby had the game wrapped up by half time after first half goals from Jeff Hendrick and Craig Bryson piled on the misery for the long suffering supporters.
The defeat means that the Robins have picked up just two points from nine games at Ashton Gate and they have not won on home soil since way back in August.
McInnes told Sky Sports: ‘It doesn’t matter what formation you employ if you fail to defend crosses as we did for Derby’s two goals.
‘We also have a problem at the moment with being vulnerable after we concede.
‘By taking their chances, Derby earned the right to get 11 men behind the ball in the second half and that made it very difficult for us.
‘If we had taken our chances it would have been a different story. Liam Fontaine and Sam Baldock should have scored and there were other opportunities.’
