Despite the rumour linking Luke Freeman with a move away from the club, Bristol City chairman Keith Dawe says that the midfielder is going nowhere.

Freeman has been rumoured to have been hunted down by Queens Park Rangers who are building a new side to try and gain promotion back to the top flight next season.

This has worried a lot of fans, especially with the transfer window opening on Wednesday, Freeman is not the sort of player that City can afford to let go in a hurry.

But City chairman Dawe was adamant that the club had received no sign of any interest from QPR, or any other club for any of their players.

Dawe said ‘I am confident no club has made an offer for any of our players.

‘Neither have I heard any talk that would lead me to anticipate any offers coming in.

‘Speaking for myself, I would certainly not be comfortable with considering offers for any of our players who did so well last season.’
