Cole Skuse has issued a rallying call to the City squad insisting that everyone must now stand up and be counted if they are to beat the drop and that should start against tonight`s opponents Crystal Palace.

There is no doubt that the players that are in the current squad are guilty of under achieving, they could all up their game a bit and they need to with the end of the season and the relegation zone looming ever nearer.

Local lad Skuse pointed out the game just gone at Hull where the side went down 3-0, he said that many of his team mates simply ‘went missing`.

But he was happy with the displays against Reading and Leeds which they also lost, but through no fault of their own.

Skuse told the Bristol Evening Post:: ‘You cannot fault our spirit and out effort, but it is going to take more than that to get us away from the wrong end of the table.

‘The way we conceded those three goals on Saturday was criminal and we have to get back to being hard to beat.

‘I thought we had cut out the silly mistakes since the new manager came in, but the game at Hull proved we still have some work to do.

‘Personally, I think it comes down to players taking responsibility on the pitch and not enough of us did that against Hull.

The player also pointed out that it would be wrong for people to start solely blaming the manager for their inept display.

‘As a group, we cannot just pass the buck onto the manager and the staff when things go wrong. We have to look at ourselves and ask ‘have we done the right things out on the pitch’?

‘You have to start solid and all be together in the Championship and we did not do that.’
