Unless there is a late change, the referee for Saturday’s game at Rochdale will be Mark Haywood of West Yorkshire.
The last time Haywood took charge of a game involving City, it was 2nd February 2013, City were at Blackburn Rovers in the Championship and sadly for Robin’s fans, lost the game 2-0.
There was just one yellow card shown in the game, that went to Rovers’ player Colin Kazim-Richards.
Last season Haywood took charge of 35 games, booked 74 and showed the red car five times. So far this season Haywood has taken charge of three games and shown five yellow cards.
Shaun Hudson and Scott Oldham will be Haywood’s assistants on Saturday while taking the role of fourth official will be Marc Edwards.
