Robins host Ipswich on opening day

Bristol City will start the 2011/12 season by hosting Ipswich Town at Ashton Gate.

Ipswich’s visit (Sat 6 Aug) will be swiftly followed by two grudge matches; at home to Swindon (Tues 9 Aug) in the Carling Cup and away at Cardiff (Sat 13 Aug) in the Championship.

Anticipated trips to West Ham (Tues 1 Nov) and Leeds (Sat 17 Sept) both come in the autumn, while Boxing Day will see the Robins go to the Coventry.

City will spend New Year’s Eve in Southampton and start 2012 with a home game against Millwall (2 Jan) while a trip to Brighton‘s new APEX Stadium is pencilled in for January 14.

With Euro 2012 seeing an early conclusion to the season, City host West Ham (Tues 17 Apr) and Barnsley (Sat 21 Apr) before travelling to Burnley for the season finale a week later.
