Preston North End joined Bristol City and MK Dons in leaving league one to play in the Championship next season after overcoming their play-off hoodoo and beating Swindon 4-0.
Preston lost out on second place in the table at the end of the season but made sure they were promoted at Wembley this afternoon with an emphatic win.
Jermaine Beckford gave Preston the perfect start on three minutes, and then Paul Huntington doubled the lead on eight minutes.
Beckford grabbed his second to make it 3-0 before the half time break and then rounded off the scoring with his third and Preston’s fourth twelve minutes into the second half.
