With Bristol City taking victory in our Community Match against Bitton AFC last weekend as we opened our pre-season schedule for the summer, one man certainly made an impression in the 4-0 win.

Having joined us from Scunthorpe United this summer, 22-year-old Hakeeb Adelakun certainly started winning some players over as he found the net in the game, scoring our third goal of the day in the 56th minute as he made his club non-competitive debut in the second tranch of substitutes made by head coach Lee Johnson.

With 20 goals to his name playing on the flank for former club Scunthorpe across all competitions, he’s already demonstrated that he knows where the net is but he’ll certainly be hoping to increase his goal to game tally now he’s at Ashton Gate as he adjusts to life in the Championship and lives up to his early promise and potential.

The goal might not help us if his fee goes to a tribunal as is expected, but that was the last things on fans minds as they reacted to his tweet post game this week.
