Bristol City manager Gary Johnson saw his side grab a late equaliser from David Clarkson at the weekend in the game against Coventry City and insisted that the Robins had done enough to win the game.

City really needed to give a top performance to get the fans back onside after losing 6-0 to Cardiff last time out.

But as the game drew to a close it looked like the visitors would take all the points after David Bell had given them the lead just after the restart.

City had their chances but failed to take them and Johnson admitted he was relieved when Clarkson struck.

“In the end we did more than enough to win,” he said.

“There were plenty of opportunities as the game went on and we didn’t quite show the quality to take them.”
