The highly rated 22-year-old heads into Ashton Gate from Scunthorpe United and he arrives as a free agent following the expiry of his previous contract.
He has signed a three-year deal with the Robins and we have an option for a further 12 months.
Speaking to the Official Site as his expected capture was announced, a delighted Johnson explained.
“Hakeeb is an exciting prospect, one I’m looking forward to working with. We have made numerous signings of his ilk, with various levels of success, but in my opinion he has the potential to replicate the form displayed by Albert Adomah and Yannick Bolasie. If everything is aligned and his attitude is as we expect, he will go on to have a career in the top flight because he certainly has the talent.”
Adelakun joined Scunthorpe back in 2012 after a successful trial and he leaves them having become their youngest ever debutant in history. He made a total of 169 appearances with a return of 20 goals in that time.
Just needs to be consistent, can make fabulous passes & once in a while scores a blinder, can be lazy, just needs to progress now & he could become a Prem star as he has ability.

He did the job, just wait and see , he's still only like 21, so he's got a lot of time to develop

The 26-year-old striker has signed a three-year deal, with a 12 month option, and he has more than 100 Premier League appearances to his name, counting Aston Villa, Watford, Wolves and Derby as former clubs.
Johnson added.
“We are delighted Andreas is joining us and I am excited to work with him. He is a really good player with good experience. His work rate is second to none and he is someone who will add knowhow to our group. We are bringing him in primarily as a striker, who can also play wide if necessary, and I am confident his attributes will enhance the squad and our team. With our system and shape, I believe he can be a goalscorer that can blend in with the other four senior strikers we have on our books.”
You're getting probably the hardest working player I've ever seen, but he has little footballing ability. Wish him all the best though. ????

Weimann had 5 goals 6 assists, Lawrence had 6 goals 7 assists so not much difference really. In the final third he was not great but wouldn't call him awful. He played a huge part in getting us to 2nd in the league and wouldn't stop running all game and helping defensively

You have yourself the hardest working attacking player I’ve seen at derby in a while. Runs back and helps the full backs then sprints back up to help the attack, the man is a machine. Good luck Andi ????

Both should certainly give us different types of options upfront in the 2018/19 Championship campaign.
