Gary Johnson has told his players he wants them to help keep Ashton Gate a fortress over the next month.

With three out of the next four league games at home and against lower ranked league opposition, City have an exceptional chance to extend our impressive home form in the run up to Christmas.

Peterborough, Plymouth and Sheff Weds are all up next at the Gate and they will be trying and end a sequence that has seen four wins and a draw on home soil to date.

“We’ve had some good results at Ashton Gate already this season,” Johnson told the club’s website.

“We’ve asked the lads to make this place a fortress and we’ve got a good opportunity in the next four games to continue our good run.

“However, these aren’t going to be matches we just have to turn up for. We have to do a job and be professional.

“Both Peterborough and Plymouth are fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table. It is early in the season but they’ll want to move towards mid-table as soon as possible.”

Who knows, if we can pull off nine points from those three we could be heading into December firmly in a Play-Off spot.
