With the arrival of Marley Watkins from Norwich City, the transfer window is in full flow for Bristol City this summer and there have been numerous speculatory reports in the press about other players arriving, and as is usual, players departing for fresh challenges.

Centre-half Aden Flint has already featured in the press with many pondering his future following his performances for us last season, but now it seems like things may have kicked up a gear as the Mirror report that Middlesbrough and Tony Pulis could be on the verge of testing our resolve with a £5million offer for the 6ft 6in player.

It wouldn’t be the first time Flint has been a topic for summer speculation and the paper’s ticker coverage of speculation shouldn’t necessarily be overly relied upon as depending when you look you can see them contradicting their own earlier reports, but Middlesbrough as a club and Tony Pulis as a manager I really can see being interested in our 28-year-old.

I can’t see £5million being enough to tempt us into doing a deal, especially as he signed a new long-term contract last season, but if Boro start offering near the £10million mark that might force our hand.
